Did the same myself today £20 to fit one roller. Thats £5 more than I would get comish, she was happy as got blind much cheaper. I think this may become a habit.

Lets get real here, EVERYBODY BUT EVERYBODY IS CHEAPER THAN HILLARYS. Been to a customer today who wanted Roman Blinds for a conservatory. As cust is only looking for a "ball park figure", I give an initial verbal quote of £1500 (Original price was £2200). She then tells me that she has had another company in who have quoted approx £1000 for the same job. Can you match them she says. Sorry says I, but because I dont want to end-up with a servere **** kicking from Hillarys management, I cant. Sorry for wasting your time she says and I think its now time for me to bite your competitors hand off. Whats the point of going through the spiel about company history, quality, reputation etc etc. IT DONT ADD UP TO A £500 DIFFERENCE.
OH DEAR OH DEAR!!
I have jacked it in because I have lost total faith in products and Hillarys.

As you know i left the clinches of Hillburies 3 months ago .
Recieved phone call today from Hillburies asking about me not attending a sales call booked in the 9-12 slot fot this morning ..... Quick as a flash i said please give the Customer details ..... I got the name , full address , and tele number.
I rang the customer and said that Hillburies cannot attend today , but i can call this afternoon .
Customer agreed and i sold 4 venetians . £170 in my bin ! - Thanks very much Hillburies !!!
This i swear is true - you couldn't make it up !

Yes everyone else is cheaper then Hillarys, everyone else is doing better quality despite the propaganda that they dont but the reason they can be cheaper is because they are making more per order than any hillarys advisor ever can. If the price drops to compete then so does your meager 14.68%. Just look at the 3 for £99 fiasco. Hillarys agents make £14.63 whereas others selling at the same price make around£30 to £50 as the profit is not going to shareholders or getting wasted on non productive staff. So other companies dont mind doing them at these profit margins but Hillarys agents despise them as the profits are too low to even get out of bed for. So if the whole range were to be dropped in price then youur whole income will drop unless you run around like a headless chicken doing ever more work just to keep a decent income and never in a month of Sundays are Hillarys ever going to raise your comission level. As was once said in an internal memo, advisors can not expect more comission ad hoc, they have to earn it.

You can rave about "history" all you like, but get this right, it is a fact that you got nothing to speak of as far as "quality" is concerned. Anyone who has seen whats on offer elsewhere will know sillarys are way behind on that front, (and others). I use sillarys bits as props to sell others. As for "reputation" in case you did not notice sillarys is fast becoming a laughing stock, both within and without.

The stories I hear since leaving Sillaries about the Agents is unbelievable. One Agent is touchy-feely with the female customers whilst breathing the worst breath possible. His fittings I have seen are dreadful! Another Agent is so much like a Double-glazing salesman he loses orders day after day. These are an easy sell for me! Another Agent is known to roll around on the floor when measuring or fitting so that he can look up womans skirts. All true I'm afraid!In the meantime, I sell just under the Silbillies prices making huge mark-up! I am selling fantastic new ranges & products that you can only dream of! A patio door vertical you sell for £180 I sell for for £160. The difference is, I buy my blind for £22. It is far superior to the old Delta systems & is so far away from you new Chinky system. I've had 3 service calls in 18 months since leaving Sillybergers! 3 patio doors can be sold for 3 for £99 if I was that deperate & come away with double your commy! I have a constant stream of repeat & recommended customers. Advetising costs me £200 max per month plus the occassional little bit of leg-work. Profit of around £4k per month & growing! I am no longer stressed & I have plenty of spare time to either increase my leads or enjoy myself! You guys should really learn that you'll get nowhere fast with this load of losers! Get real guys!

OH DEAR
Did a quote today for 5 verticals in a conservatory and 3 in a living room. SAM says around 1200. 750+ for Capri mult-blind. Guy having several quotes. UK blinds (he was still there when I arrived) quoting 400 in Neome type fabric, Charisma blinds quoted 450 for Capri. I offered 650 as my best price. Not worth doing for much less on our commission rates. He asked if I was willing to negotiate further. I said we could haggle over the 50 quid if he wanted and left it at that. FSMs are asking us to reduce discounts. Pigs might fly.
Whilst ever we are getting commission, trying to compete with those buying wholesale is like having a hand tied behind your back. If we have to reduce discounts as well, then we'll have the other hand tied behind as well.
dont forget, the extra they are paying from us, is because we are quality, ..chinese not made to measure quality, we are the best bar none....
what my f.s.m tells me anyway...........
(thats whilst the competition who use arena, are quoting for the same job )....we are the best..... the best.......best.....

To continue the story my FSM has sent details of this order along with the pics to vertical production and the response was
D8 is fractionally different to D7, however the overlap is acceptable. The only thing I can suggest, is closing the louvers in the opposite direction. Apart from that there is nothing we can do.
Well, the overlap might be acceptable to Hillarys but it is not acceptable to the customer. If I were to respond to my customers problems with "it's acceptable to me" how many repeat orders can I expect. How many orders will I get from friends and family on recomendation. Hillarys seem to be forgetting that it's the customer that matters at the end of the day. This lady has been a Hillarys customer for many years and has come to expect a certain degree of quality which she now feels is lacking. Her opinion is that these D8s do not compare at all favourably to products she has bought from us in the past
