I'm not scraping a living mate, I do very well out of Hillarys. It's more likely that it's quiet because everyone is fed up to the back teeth of people like you making posts about how they're all idiots for staying with Hillarys

I used to feel the same way as you, until I had a chance to be Hillarys and not just work for them. You keep on kidding yourself thats ok by me. But you can have the best of both worlds you know
Took a conservatory order today around 2000 I'd hate to fit that for 300 quid. I'll be making 900. just no comparisson.

All the boasters on here hide their identity why ???These are the reasons

1. THEY STILL TRADE WITH HILLARYS AND PRETEND THEY HAVE LEFT.


2 .THEY DUAL TRADE WITH HILLARYS (and dont want finding out understandable) .BUT ALL THAT PROVES IS THIS THEY CANNOT SURVIVE ON THEIR LITTLE OWN THEY STILL NEED HILLARYS AS ALL PARASITES LIVE OFF A HOST.


3. ITS ALL BULL THEY EARN A PITTANCE.


4. THEY REALLY DO SOLE TRADE OFF THEIR OWN BACK AND MAKE LOADS OF MONEY BUT STRANGELY WANT TO BOAST BUT REMAIN ANON

Firstly, Phugly.....I didn't accuse anybody of being an idiot... you were the on that mentioned it !!

Secondly, Russell.....I didn't leave Hillarys because i couldn't "hack it"...... I left because i very quickly realised that the p... was being taken.

A lot of you on here pontificate about "your business"......Der hello!!!...you don't have your own business...you work for Hillarys...simple as that.

Those dual trading are just lazy scum who trade on Hillarys very expensive leads and they too don't have their "own business"

There are some on here, you included Russell, that consider themselves great salesmen....well sorry but anybody can give the stuff away and anybody can sell for the brand leader.

Judging by the posts on this site regarding fitting where you swap tips on how you can adapt a bit of plastic to make a blind fit or how you can calibrate a sprocket to make a filo into a handle or what ever other stupid jargon you use to try and outdo and impress each other, you're all just competant fitters with fitters mentality who can talk nicely to the people you're told to go and see....no salesmanship involved....in fact the training course only involved about 10 minutes on selling techniques.

The point i was originally trying to make a couple of weeks ago is that most large direct sales companies, certainly of Hillarys size, and in home improvements.ie windows, kitchens, bathrooms, etc have 4 seperate workforces to do the same as hillarys expect you to do on your own...for 14.68% !!!!!

1.) sales....the most important...if you don't sell it you go no further....

2.) survey...

3.) fitting

4.) remedial

seperate people means that each one can concentrate on their specific task which means fewer mistakes and gives the salesperson the chance to do a really good sales call

some of you might be making a good living but thats totally different to EARNING a good living...Hillarys don't pay you any where near what you EARN

Good grief Eddie boy, why don't you say what you mean !!

As an ex-advisor myself, i spent 4 years with Hillarys, i agree wholeheartedly with the vast majority of what you say.

I'm now selling bathrooms and bedrooms and i love the fact that i can spend a relaxed hour or so with the customer going through their requirements with the luxury of not worrying about the fine measurements and my fitting schedule. I don't have to rush through the call because at the back of my mind i know i've got an urgent fit to do or a DOR to sort.
I'm sure that it all helps me to sell more successfully which is as you say the important bit.
I also find that once i've made a sale and i've handed in my paperwork i don't have to worry about the customer untill the jobs finished, leaving me to concentrate on the next one very refreshing and condusive to success

Oh and by the way i make 20% on every sale and earn twice as much as i did with hillarys for less time and certainly less hassle.....not a boast Russell because contrary to edmunds comment i have to admit i'm not sure i actually EARN my money because i don't find it hard work.....perhaps thats the previous experience with Hillarys conditioning me to think i'm now lazy!!!

14.68% you are living in the past my friend Hillarys has moved on re spec prods so try another % makes a huge difference.

ps I love the way tis thread is going well done Edmund.

I took a Hillarys roof order yesterday for £5,135, which gives me £437 commission for 2,1/2 hours work, or £175/hour. Someone else will survey and fit.
As your order was a measly £2,000 you should be able to sell, survey and fit in 5 hours, to match my income
