quoted today to supply 46 verticals in some new units in nearby town . Priced up to get the order £3050 (Clouds - Biege).
I'll earn just £1700 from that !
Hillbures cant match that!
The best thing is , they are fitting the bulk of them themselves!

Only difference is not much of it goes to the advisor, it all goes in the directors bank accounts instead.

Your having a laugh mate, they are a bunch of cowboys selling cheap tac. No wonder your racking it in if your charging premium price's for their stuff, wait for the DOR's.. ;D ;D racking it in, I most certainly am my friendly foe. read the post this is a good place to start for free with very little investment then when you get up and running move on to the bigger players such as amo and stevens. However I must stick up for the company you slag off because at least there verts are made in England and they use the same track sillarys used to use, when you can buy a patio door blind for £25 in lace willow your laughing all the way to the bank there ain't nuffing wrong with the spec ypou do have to put the weights and chains in the slats but then you do with sillarys china blinds, and as for dor's i have not had one in 2 years, and did i say you get the blinds in 5 days. The beauty of double diamond dealing is you can sell every thing and never lose a sale i now show silly billys and then get out 5 other books, i never miss a sale because i aint got what the cust wants at the price they want to pay in a word jokers it jokes, and if they really want sillarys inferior stuff then i just discount to whatever it takes. heres 2 more tips for you , I've said before get into "intu" i sell heaps of this and when i show the perfect fit with it every cust picks the intu. sillarys are so far behind on stuff its jokes dont wait for them to train you up just get the stuff elsewhere. and another naughty get extra price tables, some people pay good money for them when you are up and running get some stuff from the better suppliers and then you will see just who is selling tat at preimium prices and you will see its sillarys.

I think they advertise as siesta don't they ?
I used them for a small number of jobs around 2 years ago.
I don't mind paying a small premium to have everything already done ie weights and chains pre done for me.
I can do much better things with my time than waste it putting them in. Or going back because they didn't send enough etc.
get just as good deals from a local company on a mulit blind deal on either palette or certex for less than £25 per blind

Oh dear
The price difference is startling to say the least even with our promotions.
ha ha ho ho oh dear
I measured up for six venetians tuesday at one of the biggest new builds I have been too, flash cars, best of everything inside, asked her what colour she wanted and she produces a chrome venetian sample with a web blinds sticker on it. This is what I want she says, they are 35 each on web blinds! Gave customer our price of £850 and was shown the door, couldn't really justify a £600 fitting charge!
get used to it dear
Is it me or are things getting worse? Just in the last couple of weeks: DOR’d 2 faulty headrails + fixed 2 other which were supplied with broken grub screws. DOR’d 2 romans and again looks like I’ll have to again as not panel matched 1st time and now the material is too tight and not hanging straight! DOR’d faulty curved rail as control length was hanging under the cill! Taking 2 weeks to get urgent spares! Wood Venetians taking over 21 days to get to me! Getting no reply from chasers for missing blinds! A few more faults that I either make look good or blag it as I neither have the time or money to keep going back for free!
I agree dear
I think Roman quality is really poor. If customers are paying over £200 for a largish blind they expect a hand finished blind. What they get are, corners not square, threads caught between fabric and lining, creased fabric, puckered stitching, threads not trimmed, blinds not hanging square. The list goes on. I DOR more of these blinds for quality than anything else. Somebody needs to sort this out. Spares are just a joke.
and so you should be embarrassed dear
I Agree with roman quality, very hit and miss, had to DOR quite a few and the replacements have been no better, think they are terribly overpriced, some of them look no better than a sheet up at the window when they are down, feel embarrassed taking the balance sometimes!
go get some decent ones then dear
Absolutely agree with both Owlthorpe and Ramsey, I've said on this forum before that i think Romans are vastly overpriced for what they are. Whenever I'm asked for romans in a conservatory i always make sure customer is aware of fading and explain that they are the same as curtains, and most are aware of how curtains fade. They usually rule them out and look at something else. They're an easy fit and earn good commission but i have a conscience. Also i think they look dreadful from outside!.
oh dear oh dear oh dear
I have just returned from two weeks away and am not surprised to find that things have not changed and Hillarys remain consistent in some things. Having ordered spares back in April including red wall plugs I was happy to find that they had finally arrived, that was until I found that two "boxes" of wall plugs turned out to be two wall plugs in a jiffy bag
get real my dear oh dear
went to customer today who had been on our web site and was directed to web blinds and had a few prices for romans. 99cm 141cm £77. my price £163 . come on there cant be that much difference. what message are we sending out there. was very quickly shown the door
dear will you never learn
Hillarys probably using Web Blinds as a lost leader, so its left up to us to make the profit through the main Hillarys brand.
dear oh dear oh dear oh dear oh dear oh dear
I have decided to terminate my advisor role, mainly because I am fed up with the poor service and quality I am getting from Hillarys. I am now trying to chase up the commissions I am owed. I fitted an order at the end of February for 1300 pounds, customer paid on finance. I have not received commission so I phone up to ask why I haven't been paid. I now find out that the customer complained that she was not happy with the quality of the blinds and the service centre agreed to remove the blinds and refund her. Of course, no one from Hillarys had the decency to bother telling me!! I did my job correctly, the blinds were sold and fitted. Does anyone know if I am entitled to be paid. All I am getting from Hillarys and my FSM is silence!
I,m still holding mine dear from last year dear
maybe they will read our posts and pass details on to relevant people and then feedback to us. Won't hold my breath though!
deary deary me
Same here ordered blinds same window came with different pannel drops not once but three times.Pannel drops very poor stitching uneven.
deary deary deary deary deary me
You wont get a bean, same thing happened to me with two wood venetians, I fitted them but the valance was missing, told customer would be back with valance next week. In meanime customer complained, got blinds removed by another advisor and I got nothing. This was most annoyed I have ever been with the job so understand you quitting.
well done dear
I terminated after several years due to the abismal service, the poor quality and my refusal to work correcting Hillarys errors for free.
However,I made sure that I withheld a cash balance to cover all my outstanding payments and service calls before taking a "2 week holiday" prior to quitting.
It shouldn't be necessary but I had been warned by others. The result was I sent a self generated invoice for all my outstanding payments and unpaid service calls. I then deducted this amount from the balance due.
Unfortunately you need to be as devious and underhand as the company is
aahhhhhh dear
how long is a little bit longer, ive been waiting years....

I hear the powers that be have decided that it would be rather nice of them to allow customers that ring in to have the first option of having the same agent out to them again. Is this not a case of bolting the barn door after the horse has gone? That is exactly the reason why so many advisors had to dual trade, note had to and not wanted to. Why has it taken around 5 years for someone’s head lamps to come on and think, ohhhh, this might be why we have lost so many long term advisors and that may be why ex long term advisors are doing quite well thank you very much and Hillary’s are not, from what I have heard. Maybe its what’s know as -too little too late. They cant say they were never warned either as enough advisors told them.
