sounds to me you are a bunch of wide boys buying here and there i get all my stuff off one guy he gives me a good discount everybodies happy make about 60% sweet that's fair enough if they do all the blind types that you need. also in the style that you like to sell with the right kinds of offers etc. personnally I like to use the vogue h/r for verts and a similar kind of h/r for romans that hillarys do. But I can get some ranges from one supplier and other from another. Also, it does pay not to have all your eggs in one basket in case of any problems down the line. |

I'm still sticking with Hillarys despite all the advise to leave them behind! Each to their own hey! If you want your business to work with Hillarys, put in the effort, you will reap the rewards. Why noy just get a placard thatsays I sell other blinds and stick it on yer head. I understand some might need to do this after all Harry hills does it with wounderweb blinds startrek blinds stupidmarket blinds and arenatherapy and what ever else takes their fancy and if that aint double dealing then i dont know what is oh and then thereis the bringing other advisors in when one of them is already struggling just so the fsm gets their lead to diary bonus. could that also be classed as double dealing on the original advisor. |

Tried to sell 8 X black out rollers today. I really wanted the job , as its easy fit to Wood Frames. Problems....... 1) Customer wants scolloped base edge ! (Bellini Fabric - No Way!) 2) Customer wants Braid added! ( No can-do!) 3) Customer wanted better choice of Colours. 4) My Price was £968 ! A small Local company has quoted her £750 all in! Now i've had to quote , and walk away . Hillary's have Failed me ! The order will go to the 'local' firm who CAN meet all the above criteria , sell at £750 , and still make some Profit. I wasted 3 quarters of an hour selling time , half hour travelling time and the Fuel . This case is very 'real' and is happening more often these days. What would you do  A 'true to the core' Hillary's advisor will have lost out . A 'Blinds Agent' would have alternatives available to combat this . With all the under hand operating tendences of the Hillary's Empire ! Who will 'strike back' Don't tell me ! I already know! |

bladih blah da!!!! Booooooooooring!!! What do you want to proof with this? It is more effort to scan this in than just keep your business to yourself! Even without as many leads as previously I still make a good second income with Hillarys, with and without all the normal issues!

Some people can make the Hillarys system work for them - some can't.
Those who can't, can't accept it's their failing so need to prove they can succeed elsewhere. That's fine, some will really succeed, most won't.
Big question is :- how many will and for how long? How many 1-man-bands are successfully trading in your area? I've lost count of the number I've seen come and go over the years, none of them have lasted, including the guy who was apparently "the biggest and most profitable agent Hillarys had ever had". That was until he was terminated without notice for dual trading. He then set up and was "going to wipe the floor with Hillarys" but soon disappeared, never to be seen again.
For the odd 1 who is successful long term, good on them. What they perhaps don't realise though is that not all advisors are looking solely at net profit, but to earn a good living without the hassle of running an independent company.
As for dual trading, if your conscience lets you, again fine but many of us don't need to
