I've used these humble little plastic strips for years, and never really thought about them until recently. I was fitting some shutters using camber deco frame which needed packing out. Using the Hillarys method of a bit of hardboard tucked behind the frame caused it to twist. To the rescue came a 5" louvre hanger Holding it 90 deg to the frame, you can slide it in and push the screw through the square hole, then swing the hanger inline with the frame giving a very positive and even packing, causing no twist. There's 1 use. Fitting roof blinds today, needed to pack out some face fix brackets to stop them bending. No washers available, so good old louvre hanger to the rescue again. Drilled a series of holes in the hanger, then cut it in small pieces so I had white plastic spacers which are nigh on invisible between white bracket and PVC frame. There's 2 ;D So how many more uses? Guess you could stir your tea, or eat your mini tub of ice cream with one if the sthingys were missing ......... and why does the word S P O O N S get changed in to sthingys

It could always have its ends cut off, and be made into a 3 1/2" vertical hanger ;D

You won't believe this - fitted some 5" verticals today, probably the first 5" ones I've done in over a year, and short of 2 hangers Now where's all those little cut up washers and the super glue ..........
