Learned a new trick today. Fitting WV in half tiled window.Instead of fixing to lintel which was awkward to access made two spacers from a piece of PVC off-cut I had in the car. Same thickness as the tiles, drilled through bracket and spacer, nice solid fix and hidden by the valance which I had ordered longer than required. Hope this helps

It would of been even easier if you had ordered the headrail to be made longer as well Hope this helps

Didn't know that was still possible. Tried it some time ago but had a problem so haven't tried since. Do you just use the special instruction box on SAM.

Hope this helps MM Another way of making a spacer is to use the wedges supplied with roof pleated blinds - if you fit two wedges back to back you get a transparent spacer about 4mm thick. Works a treat when side fixing wood venetian brackets, and I have also used it in the same way behind roller brackets. I too have tried to get wood venetians with the top box wider than the slats - succeeded a couple of times but mostly just leads to confusion, order query and delay. We need some standard accepted wording to use on order forms / SAM special instruction box, so that order processing and manufacturing recognise what is being requested.
