Hi everyone. ;D Does anyone have a method for holding down wooden venetians on a door (or anywhere else for that matter)? In particular 35mm, but all sizes info would be much appreciated. Druid  |

Druid I believe hold downs are available for wood but if not self tap brass screws in the ends and use plastic hooks from 25mm venetians, but personally I wouldnt put on doors unless it was a big job. |

Druid You can order hold down brackets as spares, but you'll need to drill a hole in each end of the bottom rail. In future, if you order it with hold downs, it will come pre-drilled - if you're lucky |

I have had a problem with an order for woods with hold downs, they didn't come with the blinds and it took 6 weeks to get them, a customer was going off his head at the service centre and they sent him all sorts of different things to do with venetians, he eventually got sent the correct hold down brackets,before I received them, I rang the service centre every week to no avail,then I received in the post 10 correct hold down brackets, they are transparent plastic and look good as they are invisible to the eye when in use, I think it would be a good idea for all components to be put on the web site so we can pick the components we need, I don't blame the people in the service centre as they can't know everything and there are a lot of component parts out there

Becky at the service centre knows all the part numbers for ordering spares. Just ask for her and she will get it sorted.

The plastic ones break very quickly. I've just replaced a pair, just 2 months old, with metals ones. Don't know why they're still sending the plastic ones out |

Needless to say a "boer makes a plan" and I used the plastic hold downs with screws in the bottom rail! I will remember about your surplus, because it seems to me that I am selling only wooden venetians at the moment!! But I am not complaining! I hope all of you have a good week!! C |
