Does anyone else out there dislike Capri fabric as much as I do.
A few years ago it was one of my best sellers (along with Strand, which is still regularly requested by customers) but over the last couple of years the fabric quality seems to have deteriorated severely. The fabric frays badly down the sides and every time I fit one I have to spend another five minutes giving it a haircut with sharp scissors, otherwise every Capri blind would become a DOR. Also, the colour fades very quickly in sunlight (not as badly as Clouds Beige, but still very noticably over a relatively short period).
I now look on Capri as an option of last resort for customers who are looking for something cheap and cheerful, but would never recommend it as a quality fabric. It would be interesting to see other opinions on Capri but my feeling is that it has become sad and tired and should be dropped at the next product range update.
I would estimate that at least 50% of my vertical and roller sales are in Acacia (good performance fabric, no quality problems), with Symphony and Lace Willow as the other popular vertical fabrics.

Hi Hereticus I know what you mean about giving Capri a hair cut, have bought some myself for the conservatory, have been lucky they were all OK,have found that there has been an improvement in the quality lately, I agree that Acacia is the best fabric and always recommend it to the punters, in both vertical and roller blinds, I wouldn't like to see Capri go as it is a good alternative to the plains, maybe a quality check on the suppliers would solve the problem.

I agree, capri is off the menu with me. Always frays, and fades really fast.
