Hi all,
Freshly redundant here and although I have a few lines of work on hte go I wondered if this could be another. I see Hillary's are after people to install their blinds. I'm fairly competent d-i-y'er and have restored a couple of props and am practical. I don't really want to flog the blinds for them but just wondered if is a worthwhile proposition given it's 8 days training ? Does anyone know if this is viable proposition??

First off, ask yourself why are they advertising all over the country for agents. The answer is simple. They cant keep them. Then ask why they cant keep them? Well you have probably read the £40,000 ote bit in their adds. I wont comment on that as it will get me going. Spend your money on something else, dont waste it chasing rainbows. |

I am sure if u ring a few 'independant' blind suppliers , u could gain useful employment fitting their blinds.
Blind fitting is very simple - u just need experience .
8 weeks with hillarys will just make u ill !
U could even fit curtain poles and tracks , as all this is similar to blinds .
My advice for your own sanity - avoid hillarys !

I would never have thought of naming it that in a million years but my little 3 year old girl might have.
