[Hillarys Cake]

I wish you peeps would chill, its all bullshot.
Just got back from fitting 1,125 verts in a school hall, old sillarys but i'll take the £8.23 profo and not £250 commish, if you know what i mean never do a school twice for sillarys once for them then your in, good money earners too and not to fusy. Understandable, coz Iz a plank on me fittin (worse at spellin, but hey, it's all sponge in the cake tin of life, innit

oh and the pesto is at it again, but he's got no chance
this ain't boasting (yeah, right!) this is reality, the only thing is i have upset k, but he's making it hard for me!!!!, but i'm sound and water tight on security so theres no chance i'm going down on k - years experiance now and counting.

I'm just wondering if i should put some of me own fabrics in the sillarys book then when cust sees it and likes can look it up and say, "ohh sorry thats in there by mistake, its from another comp i work for" YEH you all know what the cust will say - piddle off outa here ya bullshotter - and another one bites the dust and even more cake for me (god, i'm fat me), and the cust will keep tight lipped cus they got a numpty on their couch! Watch out for the dfs ms now wanting to look at your books, be careful out there, always be one step ahead

Why would anyone think its bull that you can earn 40% - 50% profit selling blinds? Get a trade price list and grow up!

The guy was only pointing out that 40% mark up is way too low.

For instance:

say, Trade Roller Blind costs £50 - 40% mark up means you are only selling it at £70ish. I HOPE you're at least adding fitting on top???

WE would charge TRADE x 2 PLUS 20 = £120 (inc.Fitting)
A 'multi' job (say 7 blinds in one house) gives you that 7 x 20 (£140) as a negotiating tool - we'd probably lower that to £80 to seal the deal. And YES, we have an Apollo outlet 200 yards away and a Hillary's one nearby - we can get beneath their prices on like-for-like anytime - but they DO have their national advertsing budgets.

Sounds to me like you're paying way over the odds for your 'trade' gear. NO, I'm NOT letting you have mine.

Either way, it's all sugar in the cake tin of life, innit - you should chillax peeps!!!!!

Your right m8 but for some reason when i say 50%-60% profo no one believes me so thats why i went a bit low, to try to convince the doubters. anyways its all good from my point of view, best of both worlds

Sold a roller blind for 300 today almost embarresed to say price, but cust lapped it up as had 350 from John lewis for same. now for that i's making 155 clear profo as its someone phoning me up direct, not bad for fitting one roller
I guess thats one reason sillarys people get peed off and why i hate doing there jobs but it brings in the leads and hence the big bucks ;D so i can have me cake and eat it to.
i also heard the local guy is getting a bit upset i wonders why. i got 10 fingers and only 3 pies at the moment but i got plans, but getting caught aint one of them dk

As I said earlier, 40 - 50%mark-up is an awful return, the facts, as set out by No2 speak for themselves! Even the (suddenly) upgraded 50 - 60% is nonsense.

Do the sums - AND Greenpesto, take a breath before you type - most of your rants are nonsensical!
