Personally I have been approached by Harmony and UK blinds on a few occasions ......... I've never been approached by anyone If Russell has, god I must be bad at this job - I'm starting to feel all unappreciated and unwanted now yes but do you believe him

Perhaps you could try posting in plain English rather than riddles all the time! By the way, I don't have time to do crosswords........too busy selling shed loads of blinds K ;D

Morning all.............what a lovely morning!!!! I haven't received any diaries since thursday evening via email.........is anyone else having the same problem? K ;D Fridays came through after 11pm. Saturday got one mid pm from Mark Wright, another one later in the evening. Just got Sundays, 8:25pm. Has the format changed, or is it because I've upgraded to Office 2007? 9-12 slot shows as 9th December each day, and 3-6 shows as 3rd March

Well i have to say with all due respect that i don't know how any of you make any money with Hillarys I was with them for just 2 weeks and i know you'll say that wasn't long enough to make a fair judgement, but the fact that most of my sales (12) were the 3 for £99 offer and because of that i was expected to sell and fit 3 blinds for the princely sum of £14.53 i jumped ship fast. I know that maybe given time i might have taken some higher value orders and increased my average order value but i couldn't see the cost effectiveness. I've been in direct sales for 25 years and in that time i've never known a more disorganised company. Nor, judging by the comments on the other site and this one and the turnover in advisors, have i ever known such a negative sales force. The only saving grace was the professionalism of the trainer at Nottingham and my FSM. This disorganised accusation is backed up by the fact that it's now 7 weeks since i left and i'm still getting calls from diary support asking me what time do i expect to get to my next call. I've just recieved a new measuring tape i didn't order and to date my sample kit hasn't been picked up....oh and i had a delivery of blinds yesterday.

I would agree two weeks is way to short for any job....problem is with this type of posts is are they for real I mean 3for99 finished ages ago more than 7 weeks ! maybe if so called ex advisors were honest and open in their posts about who they are we could have a sensible discussion re these problems and maybe if you had stayed a bit longer and worked harder you would reap the benefit many good advisor's earn 1k a week .As for 3 for 99 with your 25 years in direct sales why did you not sell up ???3 for 99 was only ever created for that reason it takes a true salesman not to sell it . But good luck in the future in whatever you do

3 for 99 finished?? I dont think so. It's still running in my area, however I find it easier to sell up to 3 for 2 than to sell up to full price. It also pays to be a bit creative in which fabrics are in the offer.

I stand corrected on 3 for 99 :-[as for the 3for2 I also am creative in whats in it as I want every sale and on the mark ups Hillarys make they can afford it better than I .

Russell....first of all thanks for your best wishes..... and i am a genuine ex advisor. I did admit from the beginning that 2 weeks wasn't a fair trial and that given time and more effort i might have reaped bigger rewards, but you missed the point i was trying to make. maybe that was my fault. It is the cost effectiveness of the whole excersise that i was questioning. I was using the 3 for £99 as an example. I'm quite sure that some advisors are earning 1k a week but surely they are running around like the preverbial blue rear ended fly. I was told on the training course that the average order value was around £280 giving commission of just over £41. To earn your 1k you would have to sell 24 jobs. I know you can prove anything with figures and i'm talking averages but given that you've got to go back and fit these 24 jobs and possibly go back a third time to maybe half of them to do remedial work (judging by the amount of complaints i've seen about faulty blinds) any profit is eaten into. Anyone can be a busy fool and the old saying that turnover is vanity and profit is sanity rings true. Hillarys aren't daft they've got you doing 2 jobs that most other sales companies have seperate workforces for...3 in some cases if you count surveying. Anyway i've had my rant and i wish all of you all the best.

You either run around in an endless loop of stress to earn a decent income or you drop down and barely survive. That is the main reason for so many leaving. You just cant earn a reasonable living any more with out sacrificing something like your health, sanity or family.
