Can anyone help? ? Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to measure/ what allowance to make...... when fitting 20mm rectangle shaped recessed roof blinds and what is the best way to fit the side bars? Do I "dress" them up the sides? Also, what about the blinds that are adjacent to the fully recessed blind......what allowance is made/how do I fit, etc ? I've been told to reduce the side measurements by 5mm by the specialist products dept but I'm still a bit sceptical and unsure of the best way to fit. Hope this does'nt sound too complicated. Any comments would be much appreciated. Many thanks Druid

Only recently got around to obtaining my conservatory license but i think i'm right in saying that there are no side bars on the rectangular blinds. Just a top and bottom rail. Possibly... )

Took a lovely roof order from my sillarys neighbor advisor, price almost the same but cust hated the guy, couldent get him out of house quick enough. Even sweeter me not being a specialist man absulutly big jokes £900 profo, maybe have the rest of week of, but can't as hillarys got me 5 appoints already for next week, still i'll have 2 of those. and my dfs m wants to get a new guy in the area, why i says when i'm doing so good, ;D he agreed, but pressure from on high, what a tw*t. They should put me in charge i'll soon get em in shape, they just ain't got a clue

I can't imagine who would be mad enough to do so especially in this economic climate! Oh of course, the Sillarys spin!

Hi Guys,
This is my first post and it fits in my ethos of 'give and ye shall receive'. I am a specialist fitter and enjoy thinking outside of the box when it comes to custom fits. You ask about dressing up the sides when fitting a recessed blind. I have successfully used the L/profile as a side bar. It cuts out the concern of any slight differences in width for long rectangles, and, as long as you cut it neatly and accurately, it looks very smart- no screws/fixings viewable and no sunlight creeping in through the sides of the blind!
Hope this helps
It's a bit like the perfect fit, but for roof blinds.
